Something bad's going on

Recommended Posts

I was banded over 2 years ago. I have been too tight in the past. I seem to be sensitive to fills. I had all the Fluid taken out 2 months ago. I still am having stomach pain (upper stomach right below the sternum) about 15 min after eating. The thing that helps is ice cream or my Protein drink - milk products! Not to advocate calories here but when the pain is burning and it just gets worse....any help is a help.

I need to get a scope test done by a GI. I have been very afraid to have the test done but I think that I am running out of ideas.

I do think that medicine (like Pamperin) or any adult beverages worsen it. Some vitimans maybe too. I suspect that the linning of my stomach is inflammed. Maybe my esophigaus too. I just don't know why.

ive had the acid reflux and all that stuff. i had fill taken out and let my body heal then got fill put back in. i had to learn the hard way, dont eat before bed or lie down after eating. i have to eat only a few bites of food ever hour or two. i dont take any medications at all. i drink tons of Water all day and this is what seems to work for me. i think you have to baby your esophogus sometimes. i had my band for over a year before i had any troubles. i alway say check with your doctor . be safe......

are you on any thing for acid refulx? The scope may be the way to go you since you having such irritation.

there are some medication that will irrritate you stomach and I am pretty sure that pamperin would be one of them b/c it probably contains an NSAID. You may need to lay off tylenol, advils, etc for a while and see if that helps. Also, alcoholic beverages are not good for the band. All of those meds and drinks cause me gastric irritation. I would see how you feel after you eliminate these meds from your intake.

Good luck and keep us informed!
