Dischord 24 Posted May 5, 2015 Good to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. Less than four hours before I head out the door to the hospital. I think we'll both do great.

MassageMini 31 Posted May 6, 2015 Ya it was very painful initially, but the staff are nice here. I realized I can't drink anything cold. Because my stomach cramps like death. Otherwise I'm doing ok. They said I needed insulin and now u might be anemic. Both of which I never had before surgery
mdnitschke 14 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) Brings back some memories. I recall being very concerned as the reality of major surgery and I came face to face. That was 6 months ago. I am down 102 pounds, no longer taking metformin and my doctor is now telling me to quit taking the amlodipene because my blood pressure readings are dropping enough to justify it. I can wear pants that you can buy off the shelf in generally available sizes. It's daunting, but was it ever the best investment I ever made. They gave me a couple of injections post op that kept me in Shangri La for about 12 hours but I was out of the hospital in less than 24 hours and that was with the gastric bypass.
