Marye382 29 Posted May 4, 2015 I am only a week and a half post op but everytime i drink I feel like my chest is going to explode. I am so thirsty all the time too, all I drink is Water but I just wish the pain would stop everytime i have a sip Anyone have advice?? BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted May 4, 2015 You have to sip super, super slow. I realize it''s hard when you are thirsty and use to gulping down Water. You will eventually be able to gulp again, but for now your need to sip. If you find it difficult to sip, try suck on ice chips instead. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Jessica Radcliff 51 Posted May 9, 2015 I found that it doesnt feel as bad when i drink hot fluids. im almost a week out and when i drink room temp or cold fluids it feels like i drank a bubble but with tea I can drink it like i did before surgery.
