AussieSam 234 Posted May 4, 2015 I went on a low carb diet one and my trainer back then noticed I was lethargic in my training and he said to me go on a low carb diet but don't be on a no carb diet. We still need some carbs in our diets in order to function properly it's like running a car with petrol only and no oil.
marshliejoe 0 Posted May 6, 2015 Hey,I understand you because I know how low carb diet can change your life. And it can be quite difficult to follow pre-op diet. But I think this is the best way to achieve a long term weight loss. I have gone through the same situation and consult with Dr. Naim in California to resolve my queries regarding lap band. The LAP BAND surgery has non-surgical adjustments that helped me to minimize the potential for weight regain.
csg 8 Posted May 16, 2015 Reply and question: I dieted on high Protein, low-carb shakes in the past and found that “it” gets much better about day 5. Initially just try to take it easy, get help with your baby, and drink a lot of Water. You should feel much better soon. I am now pre-op too and will start the two weeks of shakes in about 2 weeks. I’d love to hear taste recommendations. Seems many can only be bought by the case, so I’d like a sense of what other people have liked. Premier Protein? GNC? Slim Fast? Glucerna? These are some of the ones recommended by my surgeon. Thanks
