NZ_gal 7 Posted May 3, 2015 Been 3 weeks since my surgery and in the one week ive been experiencing what feels like excess stomach acid build up. Its frustrating because it feels like im full before I get a chance to eat anything. Its especially bad in the afternoons, first thing in the morning and as I take my pantoprazole. Sometimes a chewable antiacid helps. Anyone else experienced this/ have any suggestions?
TWJ 13 Posted May 3, 2015 I am having the same problem. I was sleeved April 9th. Sometimes I am not full but I can't finish eating because I feel like a burp is stuck in my throat and I have really bad pain in my chest. When I do burp, acid comes up in my throat. I'm concerned that I'm not getting enough food in because I can't finish eating due to being so uncomfortable. I hope this passes. Maybe some veteran sleevers can give us some advice. I feel your pain @@NZ_gal! This has been my only real issue since surgery.
NZ_gal 7 Posted May 4, 2015 Spoke with my surgeon today, he's upped my pantopropzol to 40mgs a day. Fingers crossed that this improves the issue!
