Recommended Posts

Hi! I was sleeved 3/19 and I am gone 48lbs! Yay! I have had stalls along the way. Still working on getting enough fluids everyday.

Was sleeved on 3/31. I was 362 before my preop liquid diet. Surgery day i was 320 now I'm 302. For a total of 60lbs! One of my drs even said they had my highest weight with them as 370 but I'm just sticking with what i was close to the start of my weight loss journey. I've been very happy since i got off mushy foods and haven't had any problems with foods I've tried. I count myself as very lucky to have a tough stomach. liquids are hard for me to get in 64 ounces everyday but especially on days i work. But I'm still working hard and am very happy with my results. I've even stalled this past week, doesn't gain or lose and i was totally fine with that. I know it's going to happen sometimes and i have to be OK with that. It's great to hear everyone's success. Keep it up!

Hi all! I recently started drinking 'chick-fil-A' DIET lemonade. It has 30 calories and 3 g of sugar for a large(which usually last me two days). It is made with fresh squeezed lemons which is the reason for the calories but it is a nice alternative to crystal lite if you get bored with that. It helps me get in some much needed fluids in addition to my Water and shakes and it's a nice treat to have the lemon pulp in it! Just wondering if might help others having difficulty getting in the fluids. I count it as a snack and log in the calories everyday.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
