Jb1176 79 Posted May 2, 2015 Surgery was April 13 and today, nineteen days out, I am on soft Protein. Am getting between 60-70 grams of Protein containing 700-800 calories per day. Also getting in my 64 oz of Water and walking 2 miles a day. In two days I get to add 1/2 C of cooked vegetables. First follow up appointment with the surgeon is 5 days away. This process has been much less stressful than what I imagined it would be. The first two days out of the hospital I wondered if I had made a huge mistake. I couldn't get down much Water but as the swelling diminished that improved. I tried to follow the post surgical instructions to the letter and that proved to be an asset. My message to prospective sleevers is that the process is worth the effort and that your concerns prior to surgery are not nearly as bad as what you experience after surgery. Good luck to all those beginning the journey.
