First day home from surgery! Question about Isopure and protien?

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow sleevers!

So I did it I had the realize band removed and a sleeve done at the same time.

I am so glad I got the band removed. I guess my liver had grown into the band and my surgeon had to kind of scrape it out to remove it .Its sounds really awful so I am so glad it is gone forever!

I hade to spend a few extra days in the hospital because I was having some trouble with the fluids trying to get them in, but I have to say it was a very easy surgery.

So what I am wondering is I have this Protein drink called Isopure zero carb. Its does have 160 calories for 20 oz.

40 grams of Protein for the whole bottle. Would you consider this drink a clear liquid?

If I could drink the whole 20oz through out the day would I count it as a small meal or meals?

Or would it be count as clear liquid? (water)

I am trying to get in 40oz of clear liquid day , and 60 grams of protein a day.

I am hoping To get all my protein and Water in I just don't want to over stretch my sleeve with this Isopure drink by sipping it all day its a meal?

Does any one happen to know the answer ??? Does any one know of a good tasting unflaverd Protein powder I could add to some Soup?

The one I got is really bad.

Thanks for you help! :)

I would count it as a clear liquid. This early on you probably won't be able to do meals, but just drink constantly. Are you on full liquids or Clear Liquids? If you are on full liquids, I would recommend trying to get in some Protein shakes. They will have more nutrients that you need.

My NUT says Isopure counts as your clear Protein and your liquid. Drink with confidence.

Apple melon is a great flavor. Make Jello with it, or popsicles! beware the powdered form is not the same as the premade bottles.< /p>

Hope this helps!
