devonmae 56 Posted May 1, 2015 Does anyone get an achy pouch during their periods? I am 2 years post op and I have very painful periods of which they just had me start taking naprosyn two days before and the first two days of my period, but my pouch gets really achy and sore during that time too and I forgot to mention it at my two year appointment. Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this.
TammyDTM 391 Posted May 1, 2015 Nsaids are not good for your new stomach. My PCP took me off of them when we started considering the surgery last year. You might want to talk with your doctor to see if there is something else you can take. I do know that Naprosyn does help with cramps because that's what I used (back in the day), but I am hoping that you can find relief another way. If not, maybe some Prilosec would help. Lesthemess 7 Posted May 2, 2015 I had my one month post op appointment yesterday and discussed this with the Physicians Assistant. She gave me the ok to take motrin, with food on my stomach. I have never had such horrible cramps! I can literally feel your pain!
