pookybear 284 Posted April 29, 2015 Hi everyone! OK, so I'm sick and tired of driving a half hour away to go to the specialty nutrition store for Calcium and it's too expensive online. Is there anyone that buys from the pharmacy, Target, etc? What do you get? My nutritionist had told me only buy the specialty stuff, but that was 2 years ago. I'm sure over-the-counter calcium has evolved since. They sell calcium citrate everywhere I go, I don't really see why I can't use that. I just wanted to get some other opinions before I buy. rte837 141 Posted April 30, 2015 buttercupdobbs; THAT's definitely a question for pharmacist or Dr. Might need a blood test to check levels. Pookybear; There's NO reason why you can't just use OTC Calcium with D. The specialty thing is a farce. Calcium is calcium. I use Caltrate with D. Wait for a coupon, or buy one, get one 50% off. Walgreens, Walmart; any of those is fine.

wildGoose 207 Posted May 1, 2015 My PA told me to buy Target's calcium citrate tablets when I told her the chewable a were too expensive and tempting. They dissolve very quickly and don't cost much. And my surgeon suggests Flintstones over Bariatric Advantage Vitamins. better to spend the money on new clothes!!
