Thank you! Yeah I was feeling pretty sorry for myself last night. :( I have had 2 c-sections so I thought this should be no big deal for me but it turns out I was a little mistaken. Thank God I am feeling better now though. :)

I can't imagine throwing up right now as sore as I am. I walk around the house holding a pillow across my stomach just in case I cough. Bless your heart!!!

I agree ladies. My two c-section we're a piece compared to the VSG surgery. This surgery IS NOT the easy way out!

Same boat here! I had a c section and thought thus would be mild compared to that and wow I was wrong. I was really sore last night trying to sleep in my own bed. Did much better on the couch and feeling a little better this morning. Glad you guys are here! I know I shouldn't weigh myself yet but how is it that I've GAINED three pounds since surgery? That better all be fluids!

I lost 12 pounds in my 2 week preop and it was HARD! I started at 240 and surgery day I was 228 so yeah I was annoyed about a gain but I know I need to be patient. Are you on liquids for the next 2 weeks too Disciple?

Similar to me. I have 2 weeks of clears and can do Protein if the clears are going down. I have some protein broth last night for "dinner". Tasted good to have something salty.

Do you ladies get a sudden pain in your stomach that lasts for about 30 seconds without even drinking anything? Are these hunger pains? Or acid reflux?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
