@ Gracy0721 same for me. I cough every morning. My shoulders are still painful from all the gas. I broke down yesterday and licked the salt off a pretzel. I was so desperate to taste something normal lol. I'm jealous of your squeeze cheese! Haha

I live in el paso tx and it's pretty nice out. @@abbyrn27 a walk outside sounds great right now. I have a ? The taste of my caramel Protein Shake is too sweet so I added a dash of cinnamon. It leveled out the sweetness. Is this ok? I don't remember the bariatric center saying anything about cinnamon

Beautiful spring day in London. I was feeling down this morning too but I've felt better this afternoon. Hardest thing is not being able to lift my children. I'm proud of myself today. I've managed frozen juice, Soup and milk today. So much better than yesterday

Cinnamon is on my "ok to spice things up with" list from my surgeon. I say go for it!

I am in Puyallup, Washington about an hour out of Seattle, Washington. It's going to be a warm day but over casted.

I've been to Puyallup! My husband was in the navy from 2000 to 2004. We stayed in Everett and Bremerton. Oh how I miss it!! It's my life goal to make it up there again

Yay! Thank you Abby!

This is really odd, but since my surgery the print on my phone is distorted. I had no problems seeing anything on it before, but after its so blurry. Time for some readers!!

I'm having a bad night. Feeling very angry and upset with myself for having to put myself and my family through this. Not a good evening. Feeling lonely, even though surrounded by love. Sorry, just had to get it out there somewhere.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
