Hey Guys, I am new to the message boards and can really use some guidance. My surgeon's office just submitted my request for VSG surgery to my insurance company (State insurance). How long does it usually take to know if you were approved? I am so nervous and I can't stop thinking about it. I keep running scenario's through my mind about what I should do if I don't get approved. Can you re-submit? I have done everything I was asked to do, and I have been cleared by all the specialist, so I think I have a good chance. What do you guys think? Thank you guys for your help and I am sure I will have a lot more questions.

Can not imagine you not being approved, if you have a rep or advocate maybe you could ask them how long to get started? Otherwise, you may just have to be patient and let that ball start rolling. In the mean time read what you can on this sight and learn. Best to you

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
