krissy202001 5 Posted April 27, 2015 Does anyone have experience with taking essential oils internally after surgery? The brand I use, doTerra, includes supplement facts on any that can be taken internally. Before surgery, I was using lemon oil in my Water everyday. I have multiple things I'd like to use in a capsule form but I'm concerned. I'm only 4 weeks out so I don't want to swallow anything that might irritate my new tummy. CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted April 27, 2015 I think I would talk to my dietician about this one, as different oils can affect you differently. Have a good night!

blondebomb 580 Posted April 27, 2015 So far I use the cinnamon bark stevia herb suppliment daily in my coffee I use to keep my autoimmune disease inflammation down..no problem here..I have changed over from pill form to essentials and liquid for most supplements now. Feeling so much better..the liquids are more pure form without all the non essential additives..working for me
incredibleshrinkingnurse 21 Posted May 19, 2015 I'm curious too. My NUT isn't familiar with EOs so was no help. I'm sure gentle ones like lemon are fine. I take LLV, and the one for allergies daily. Today I feel a cold coming on so I'm taking 2 drops each of On Guard, Frankincense, melaleuca, oregano, and lemon in a gel cap every couple of hours. It seems to help the cold symptoms but I have to chase it with tums and I still get some reflux. For that reason I'll probably stick with external application for awhile after surgery (6/15/15). With all the studies being done on EOs, bariatrics seems to be an untapped area so far.
