terrydumont46 1,954 Posted April 26, 2015 I just wanted to know if anyone is happy about revising from one surgery to ds. after my research this surgery seems to be so appropriate for my eating disorder. I can no longer have fills in my band so it is wide open and slowly my wt is going up. complications caused me to be in this spot. just was wondering if anyone had an opinion. parisshel 1,892 Posted April 26, 2015 Terry, I'm sorry to read that you had complications and the band is no longer useful. I don't have an opinion on revision but I just wanted you to know that I always appreciated your posts and support for the bandster cohort here.

Sorry to hear of your problems. It does show us however that our weight IS a lifelong battle and that WLS is a tool, not a quick fix. At first I was considering the band but I know myself and that isn't what I need. And I have seen there ARE complications from that too. So I am leaning towards bypass despite the added risks. At 385 pounds, I expect the weight related problems that are catching up to me will eventually get me and get me good. At 67 I suspect I have but one shot at this! I know another WLS is hard for you to consider but you will make the decision well informed. That is one problem with having worked in health care, we have seen it all! God bless, Louise
