BMI 32 5'7 and 1/2 210 lbs

Recommended Posts

I'm 30yo. My BMI is lower than some getting sleeved but I qualify so I'm scheduled June 8th. I have a apple shape most of my weight is in my breast stomach and back. Also my face is rounder since I got the 200 mark. Anyone else with similar stats get sleeved??? How's you weight loss and body shape been doing!? Let me know :)

My surgery was 12/3/14, and I am down about 55lbs. I am of the same shape as you, so my legs look great now, very slender. Not much of a butt anymore, arms still large, but smaller now, waist is smaller, as is my back, breasts a little smaller, face back to "normal"!!! Collar bones are showing (and are awesome!!!), it seems that everything is going down at the same time, not one area more than another. Most important thing is to use a measuring tape, from the start, to show the progress when the scales won't. Good luck to you!

I am 36 and was sleeved 1 week ago today June 21st in Mexico! I weighed in at 177! But my BMI was 33%! Today I measured and I have lost 2 inches everywhere besides my arms and they were the same!

I feel great! I have not had any problems except I am hungry!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
