LisaAlwaysSmiling 21 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi, I'm 5 days post op and I never really passed any gas. And when I woke up in recovery I had pressure in my chest and was told it was gas. And I still have it when I drink Water and eat. Anyone else have this problem?
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted April 25, 2015 @@LisaAlwaysSmiling yep! felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest for two days. I used a gasx strip, and I have belched and "broke wind" quite a bit, and it's gone now. It never traveled to my shoulders either, thank goodness!!
Jojo2814 9 Posted April 28, 2015 The gas x strips that dissolve in your mouth help. Walking helps a lot too. I was just sleeved on 4/14.. It gets better!
newstart2015 11 Posted April 28, 2015 I had that pain for 5 days. I walked a lot. The thing that helped me most was taking a Tums. Just chew it up really well. The Gas X strips didn't work for me.
