Carrie81 5 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi all I am so happy so want to share this...I was going to wait until 2 weeks but decided to have a look today. I am 7 days post op so was on the pre op diet 5 days before surgery. So on my 12th day dieting I have lost 15lbs!!! I am so happy!! What are the chances I will put this back on when I move onto solids? Thanks
gowalking 10,790 Posted April 25, 2015 chances are pretty good that you will put some of it back on. best advice I can give you, is don't get on the scale for a while. focus on healing, learning how to navigate with the band, and generally stay away from anything that might sabotage your commitment. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Good luck and welcome to the forum. I will, thank you! Today was the first day, since I started, that I craved food. My husband asked if it was okay to eat a kebab in front of me...I thought it would be okay but man, it smelt so good! I just kept reminding myself being slim will make me a hell of a lot happier than short lived satisfaction of eating something like that. I am so excited to be on this journey! Thank you for the welcome!
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted April 26, 2015 Yes, you will have a gain after a little while. But don't fret. Stick to the program, and it will come back off. I would also advise to not weigh yourself. Wait until you go to the doctor's office. Congratulations!

B-52 7,113 Posted April 28, 2015 I gained it all back....the pre-op and post op diet is just that...it's not real IMO, who wouldn't loose weight on shakes and liquids.< /p> After I started back on real foods, it was back to where I was as though I never had the lap Band surgery...it was only after a few months and a few fills that the band started to do what it was supposed to do, then the REAL weight loss began... xxalishasjourneyxx 1 Posted May 11, 2015 As you should be Carrie! A pound is a pound! Be proud! Follow the diet and get your fills and it should stay off, that's what I'm planning to do. Congrats!
