New Member from PA/NJ area

Hello All! I'm brand new to this site and scheduled for surgery on 6/25/07. I'm excited and nervous all at once

I live on the border of Northern PA and NJ and my surgeon is Dr. Bertha (Florham Park, NJ). If anyone has been to him or his partner, Dr. Abkin, I'd appreciate feedback. Thanks so much!

Welcome to LBT! Congrats on your surgery date! It's only normal to be nervous and excited at the same time.

We have a few on here that uses that doctor, I think Alex uses them if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Dawn! Welcome to LBT!!

I'm a very happy Abkin/Bertha patient and can't recommend them highly enough. Have you been to any of the lapband support group meetings? The next one is on the 27th, and that's a great place to meet and speak with other banded patients of ALSOM. The NP, Linda, runs that meeting so it's really the perfect time to get all your questions answered.

Thanks for your response. I didn't make the support group meeting on the 27th... still too uncomfortable for the car ride. I am feeling much better by now, but I am hungry all the time. Is this normal? Please tell me it gets better!
