I've started including these little peppers in my lunch. Big crunch and low calorie. I had about six of these with my cheese sticks. Yum!

What's your new favorite thing?

I like using those little peppers as my new stuffed peppers. I take ground turkey and cook it with marinara then stuff it into the peppers like you would a normal size bell pepper. I put a half a strip of cheddar cheese over the top, bake it, and voila- sleeve stomach sized stuffed peppers!

My favorite thing since WLS is Brussel sprouts, I can't get enough of them. I buy 1lb frozen bags, put them in my microwave steamer for 12 minutes. Top with a 1tblsp of butter and salt. BOOM! BABY! Or if you're an Emerald fan - BAM!!! :-P

I always liked hummus but now it's a staple of my diet. Three ounces along with a 100 calorie wrap and I'm good for lunch or even Breakfast. Quick and easy.

Amazingly, tofu (with some flavoring as it has none ). chicken broth... Baked with any type seasoning..

In chili...anywhere I can add it for low calories and high Protein.< /p>

My biggest surprise lately is my body not liking premier shakes... Kinda a go to staple...,

I'll listen to this wonderful but fickle band.

I absolutely would not be where I am 8+ years out ....maintaining ....without it????

Just discovered Mio Orange vanilla Water drops. This tastes exactly like a Dreamsicle. I'm pretending it's just melted ice cream.

Frozen organic fruit/berries, unsweetened almond milk, plain greek yogurt, a little sweetener. Blended in my Magic Bullet. Delicious! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
