JM1997 3 Posted April 21, 2015 Hubby had surgery 4/10 and I don't think he's getting enough Vitamins and nutrients. He's always cold and tired also and realize it's normal. I get a Myers cocktail thru IV with glutathione and B12 shot bi-weekly for my chronic fatigue and swear by it. Wondering if anyone out there does this and if it's too soon for him. CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted April 22, 2015 Best thing to do for that is ask his surgical team. They can give advice on what he needs, and which form to take. He should start picking up energy soon, is he up and exercising yet? Walking is a good way to start. Walk everywhere! Get the muscles moving, so they can wake up. Focus on the Protein first, very little carbs. Make sure he's getting all his fluids in, that is vital. There are sublingual Vitamin B12, and other Vitamin forms are chewables, dissolvables, and liquids. You can find most of these on Amazon.com. He really shouldn't have any pills yet, but ask his doctor if it is ok. Remind him that the surgery is just a tool, and he will need to work to have this be successful. You are doing a great job at supporting Hubs, I'm sure he is grateful! Good luck to you both!
