I'm going back to work next week and was looking for some lunch ideas. First two weeks I'll be on soft diet then move to regular food. Ideas or recipes would be great.

Honestly my favorite lunch is rotisserie chicken leg and 4 Brussels sprouts lol. I also like ham and cheese Rollups with spinach.

I like the Sunkist tuna pouches 2.7oz (I believe) and Walmart usually has lots of different flavors. I also like cottage cheese (with a little Hidden Valley Ranch powder from costco mixed in), canned chicken or turkey slices with goat cheese (rolled up). I bought the 4oz Ziploc containers and use that as my guide.

When was your surgery?

My surgery was 3/31. Today I had a turkey mini meatball I made with a bit of Tomato sauce. I was going to make some bean Soup. I love the idea of the meat around the cheese. I know I can only have shredded cheese on my puree diet but not sure on soft food diet. Currently the smell of tuna is too much for me so going to avoid that for awhile. Thanks everyone for responding.

I love turkey rolled up in a piece of alpine lace Swiss. I also bring 1/4 cup part skim ricotta mixed with sugar-free caramel Syrup and a dab of imitation rum extract.

heck no lol I buy them from BJ's for $4.99 I can't even buy a raw chicken for that amount.. Definitely worth buying them premade.. Especially when I get them on sale for $3.99 at our commissary.

I will make chicken burgers on a weekend and freeze them and eat one at lunch. I also eat rotisserie chicken with a small side of steamed veggies. Turkey meatloaf/balls. Deli meat with cheese and Greek yogurt.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
