vickylg 36 Posted April 21, 2015 I have just hit the 50lb mark today. I'm so thrilled, emotionally I feel great but physically I'm still experiencing pain in my joints and there's been no change in my back pain. But maybe when I get to the 100 lb mark I may feel better. I'm 71/2 weeks out so I can't complain I'm enjoying being able to do some things I was unable to prior to my surgery. I wish everyone success!!!! Vicky
CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted April 21, 2015 Awesome job! Well done! Yes, a few more pounds lost should help your joints feel better. Have you noticed a lessening of the pain, though? You should soon, I would think. You may still have pain, but is it as much as before? What helps me is a warm mattress pad (full length of the bed), that I have on low just before I go to bed, then shut it off after I get in bed. Kinda loosens the joints a little, making it more comfortable to sleep. Not looking forward to the heat of the summer, though, it will be too hot for the pad, and then my joints won't be getting their warmth. Can you believe I look forward to the cooler days again!!! Stephanie Stroup McIntosh 157 Posted April 22, 2015 Even though you are still in pain, it is important to exercise. Be it walking on land or in the Water. Motion is like lotion to your joints. I had horrible back pain. It was so bad I would often not eat so I could reduce the amount of times I had to use the restroom. Once I started making myself move, it really did get better. Take it slow at first, but anything you can do will help. I loved walking in the Water. It made everything feel better.
