TealSister 296 Posted April 20, 2015 I've been off work since surgery on 3/26. I'm still having trouble getting even close to 60 grams of Protein and 64 oz of Water. I've just been a b---- today! Don't want to go back. It's an accounting desk job so it shouldn't be bad. Ugh. Anyone else have trouble going back?
TREVORSMOM 20 Posted April 20, 2015 I had surgery on March 24th and that was my first day off. I went back to work March 31st. You will probably get tired pretty easy and will be glad when it is time to go home. I wish you the Best of Luck!!

akreese02 174 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) I went back to teaching 7 days after surgery (3/24)and fell asleep in my room on my planning periods for the first week. It got better after that. Now I just fall asleep when I get home Edited April 20, 2015 by akreese02

wishful_thinking 18 Posted May 8, 2015 This is my first week back at work and it's tough. I feel like I was so much more focused on my Protein and liquids when I was at home. But, I think it's just about figuring out a new routine. It may take a little trial and error to see what works best, it's a learning curve. But I'm sure we'll all get there! I've been packing a lunch bag with ice packs to store my Protein drinks, Water, yogurt, and Jello. I'm starting on solids next week so I hope it will get a little easier. I did have one day this week that I didn't get enough Protein in and I didn't get many calories and I felt like crap. Lesson learned. This is all new to me... so still figuring it all out. akreese02 174 Posted May 8, 2015 I went back to teaching one week after surgery. Probably should have taken another week because I fell asleep on my floor during my planning periods! Feel great now (six weeks out, surgery was 3/24/15) but still get tired in the afternoon! Hoping to have more energy once summer break gets here

Hang in there!!!
