closer400 1 Posted April 16, 2015 This is day 2 for me, I want to eat everything I see but I know this is important any suggestions for success?
BetterMEsoon 15 Posted April 16, 2015 The thing that helped me the most was thinking that I wanted to do everything in my power to have the easiest surgery and assist in recovery. Whenever I was tempted to have something I shouldn't I would ask myself - is this worth the possible complications? I hope this helps you. Hang in there! laurenjane 35 Posted April 16, 2015 If possible, get rid of ALL the foods that don't fit into your surgeon's liver shinking diet plan. Otherwise you will end up eating what you have on hand. I'm about to do a second round of cleaning out my pantry and fridge in preparation for my two week liquid diet.

Sky2015 7 Posted April 17, 2015 Hang in there, I'm on day 4, and I honestly do not know how I made it thru the first 3 days without breaking my diet or dying ????but I must say today I feel really good about sticking with it and not hungry at all, I think it'll be easier going forward. Also got a call from my nut yesterday saying I have H. pylori which won't change my surgery date, but adds a bunch of pills to my diet for 2 weeks
RNYGal 47 Posted April 18, 2015 Ugh, I know what you mean! I started mine today and I didn't start to feel REALLY hungry until this evening. I had to walk outside and take a deep breath and drink some Water so I wouldn't eat everything in site! I hope this gets easier!
OregonTeacher 63 Posted April 18, 2015 Make sure you drink often. I have six full liquid meals per day and can have all the Clear Liquids I want. I am about to go to bed and it is the end of day five. Greek yogurt helps...SF Jello or pudding gives your mouth something to do...drinking something hot tells your tummy it has more in it than it does. Sf hot cocoa or cider or bouillon/broth can help with that and you are not limited on the quantity.
audnmac8 44 Posted April 18, 2015 Day 3 yay for me lol.....thank you but for me no Greek yogurt or pudding!! It would be so cool if I can have those too but my nurse said I would have to wait until after surgery but all other liquids unlimited!! Sky2015 7 Posted April 19, 2015 Going into day 6, I'm very proud of sticking to the diet 100%, it's been a challenge, I keep thinking this will be the worst part of the process so if I can do this I can make it all the way. good night
