:omg:WOW!!! Are you really an MD? Your spelling and grammatical errors are scary. Habbit is spelled HABIT. YIKES!!

HA! I wrote the same thing a few days ago. The spelling is bad, grammar is horrible, sentence structure does not exist, and only the super easy questions are answered.

Then there is the incorrect advice...

I am thinking an unbanded medical office staff (receptionist type person) who works for an "actual" physician. That's my guess anyway.

There was another one about 4-5 months ago. First he claimed to be a lawyer (per his profile he was around 20-21), then he claimed to be an office staff person from a medical clinic, then he claimed he was a patient coordinator for a bariatric physician. When we confronted him with all his stories and the profile with his age he quit posting.

Maybe he came back? Probably not the same person, that guy could spell and write a basic sentence. This one can't.

Annette,

this is your first post on this forum and what you choose to do is to attack another member (Dr. B. Nola) who has always shown support. Yes we may not know his true identity (just as we do not know yours) but all he has ever done is try to help answer peoples questions. We are not here to judge people and this is certainly not a forum for spell checks (by the way, check your post and see the mistake you made yourself)

This is my first post too, but I have been reading the boards for quite some time now and in case you didn't notice, it is strictly to support one another as we all journey to a better weight/health.

If your goal here is to be a critic, then this is not the forum for you.

I'm not sure that is fair to the original poster. People look for doctors to answer certain questions such as DrC. We know we can trust his information. When someone is posing as a doctor AND giving incorrect information and advice, there simply isn't any excuse for that. That isn't a show of support to fake being a doc, that is an ego issue where someone may need emotional help.

WasaBubble butt,

most of your posts have been very helpful and you come across as a very nice person. Also, your profile picture shows that you may be in the medical field, possibly even a nurse. I do not think it is nice that every post Dr B Nola writes has to be criticized by you. Yes, he has made some grammatical errors but that is not a good reason to state that he is a fake. Have you ever considered that he could be a foreign trained physician? Some of the best surgeons/specialists are foreign born and trained and their english or grammer has nothing to do with their expertise in the business.

Please stop. You are one of the most supportive and knowlegable members of this forum. Lets stick to supporting each other

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has noticed "Dr. Nola". I've been wondering myself. Yes, the grammar, spelling, and sentence structure are poor...certainly not that of someone w/postgraduate education. Some of the advice offered has been wrong, which is pretty scary. As WasABubbleButt said, many folks are seeking the advice from an MD and if this person is not legit, then someone could possibly be hurt. That is my biggest concern. (Especially for many of the newbies that don't know any better and may follow this erroneous advice.)

No, I won't be stopping. Sorry, but it won't happen. I will warn people to be careful of the advice of this nutcase.

It isn't just spelling and horrific grammar (by the way, before slamming the post of another, look at your own post and see the many grammar errors). These are NOT posts written by an educated person. They simply aren't, to top it off the advice and info are wrong. This person is obviously not a doctor and it is not just the two of us that have been laughing at the pretend doctor, check out the threads. Others are laughing as well.

I find it odd that you claim to have been a member here for such a long time yet you just signed up here in the last day or two merely for the purpose of finger wagging to another member in support of a fake doc with bad advice.

Do you find that odd too?

WasaBubbleButt,

I didn't say that I've been a member for a while, I said I've been reading the posts for a while - remember, it is free to non members for reading only.

I did not just sign up "merely for the purpose of finger wagging"

I signed up to remind people what this forum stands for.

Obviously, I have not been a member as long as you have so there may be some posts of this docs that you have read and I haven't, but I still think it is a little harsh to call him names etc.

Also, I've been doing a search to see if I can find any info on Dr. B. Nola (on the web), but I'm coming up empty...I would think that I would find something...and I have yet to see any patients of his/hers here on LBT.

Just seems a little odd to me.

As long as someone is going to fake being a doctor I am going to call them on it. So will others. That is NOT support, that is dishonesty that could lead to potential medical issues.

It is also illegal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
