I had sleeve gastrectomy done 16 May.

I've hit the soft food stage. Very pleased. You gotta stick to your doc's plan. Pre- op liquids was not easy but not tough either. Lost 10 ponds during this phase. Had a 2 day hospital stay and in the 4 weeks since have not had any complications. Very good decision. Have dropped over 40 pounds since this new adventure started.

Hi All! I'm in the Opelika/Auburn area and had my sleeve done on 7/22 in Mexico (It was great!)..so almost one week post op. Everything is going well so far. I'm impressed with the weight loss Ive had thus far but I'm constantly nervous about this not working/gaining it all back from years of yo-yo dieting. Any advice on dealing with the emotional side of fear of this not working? I know it's somewhat irrational as long as I stick to my diet but i cant seem to get passed it.

Ckramsey, Dr Doucette personally did my surgery and I have no complaints I'm about a month out. Losing as predicted, incisions healing and minimal scarring.

I'm afraid I'm a high BMI (43.1). Insurance is a company called Harvard Pilgrim (out of New England) and administered in Alabama by United Healthcare.
