Kmgaustin 6 Posted April 15, 2015 Anyone Else getting headaches? I have had a headache every day since surgery February 12 th. I see my regular gp on friday. My surgeon is in Mexico, so i don't' have a bariartic doctor here. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this??
Edavidson 84 Posted April 15, 2015 I had bad headaches during my 3 wk liquid diet as well as when I got home from the hospital. I was in the hospital for a week with no food so I just figured it was from not eating for so long. One of my concerns regarding surgery in Mexico was what if a few months down the road something went wrong! Would you contact your Dr. in Mexico or go to the E.R. I am happy to hear you are going to your G.P. to see what is going on. My G.P. is an internal specialist and she listens to what I have to say and acts on it which is what saved my life two months out. Keep us posted on what your Dr. has to say and don't take anything for granted that goes on in your body post-op. The sleeve is a great tool for losing weight. I am in my fifth month and all of the little kinks are finally workingout. The weight loss is great, I feel so much better. I have 50 lbs. to go after losing 80 lbs. Blazzrr 37 Posted April 15, 2015 Make sure you are truly drinking enough Water. A quick internet search says the following: "When you become dehydrated your brain tissue loses Water causing your brain to shrink and pull away from the skull. This triggers the pain receptors surrounding the brain, giving you a headache."
kathysleeve 38 Posted April 15, 2015 I had a headache for about 5 weeks postop/ then i had another series of headaches about 5 months out. I know I wwas addicted to caffeine and sugar. I dont have headaches now unless I load up on sugar/ Hope that helps, its always good to tell your dr about these things, he is wellspring of information. NORCALRN 60 Posted April 15, 2015 often it is from dehydration, even if you think you are taking in enough Water. also, general anesthesia stays in the body for months and that could be contributng. check in with your own local doctor just to make sure. surgery is really hard on the body. I hope you feel better!
