I've never used a tread climber. I prefer an elliptical to the treadmill. I find it easier on my knees and for me, I get a better workout.

I use the Arc Trainer at my gym I love it. It works similar to an elliptical, but you can put it at an incline as well.

I have a Bowflex tread climber and I love it. If I don't want the stair stepper it's a simple switch flip but still at a slight incline to give a better workout.
