janie44 0 Posted October 27, 2004 How do they work? do they make you feel fuller? what is the best tasting one. I live in Australia so I may not have the variety you guys have in the U.S. Any Aussies out there that could give me some pointers. Cheers Janie
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 27, 2004 I like the Carnation Instant Breadkfast - no sugar added, I fix it like a cup of hot chocolate and it tastes really good.
nightingale2u 42 Posted October 27, 2004 powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury has a very good amount of Protein and the chocolate is yummy... the unflavored is also good and without flavor for mixing into Soup and other beverages. It is available at unjury.com. Betty... carnation sugar free is really good but it doesn't have as much Protein as they recommend post-op. I mixed the unflavored Unjury with my Carnation SF... you really need the additional protein while healing and while you are not able to have foods that are high in protein. Alexandra 55 Posted October 27, 2004 Janie, Protein Drinks aren't magic. They just contain more Protein than your average milkshake, and it's protein that makes hunger stay away longer. They're very helpful in the postop period, as Darcy says, but later on it's better if we can get our protein from solid food.< /p>
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 27, 2004 Darcy - My Doctor is the one that put me on the Carnation Instant Breakfast. I go back tomorrow, I will see what he says then. I don't think he believes in staying on the drinks very long anyway.
