Kiba 47 Posted April 14, 2015 Hi there all, Just this past weekend I had my one month follow up with the surgeon and all is great (woo!) I'm following diet, slowly introducing the foods my NUT told me to do. I had a birthday party to attend to shortly after and decided to have some dried seaweed (the nori on sushi but toasted.) It was great, felt alright then shortly after I had the WORST possible reaction, I threw it up and boy was it the most painful vomiting I have ever had. Clearly I wasn't ready for it. Now my concern is as I heaved my insides out, I noticed some spotting of blood, is that normal? Secondly, as I'm sure most of you have noticed, the bowls move strangely after the surgery, I noticed a few times some spotting there too! But nothing insanely terrifying, just pinkish blood spots. I assumed it's a hemorrhoid? Of course if it persists, I will follow up with my doctor, but I wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues! Thank you! TammyDTM 391 Posted April 14, 2015 I think you should follow-up with your doctor asap. Since you have just been sleeved, it could be something that needs immediate attention. At least make a phone call and talk to your nurse.

Kiba 47 Posted April 14, 2015 I definitely will have to -- I'm just concerned about the bloating I feel the following day.

Kiba 47 Posted April 15, 2015 Found out it's normal after vomiting to have some pink, especially this early, it's just muscle straining from the contractions in the stomach, and the rectal spotting was due to internal hemorrhoids, stool softeners should help with that!
