glitter eyes 1,398 Posted April 14, 2015 When I started puréed foods I just did tiny little bits ( I used a baby spoon for several weeks ) and took time between each bite. I think going slowly is the key. Also, just add one food at a time so you can identify if anything doesn't agree with you. It's like feeding a newborn. Good luck!! JamieLogical 8,710 Posted April 14, 2015 My advice is to take it VERY slowly. Some people don't have any real issue or restriction with purees, but do when they start on soft foods (same phase for some people). Anything with a lot of liquid mixed into it is going to be easier than dry foods, even if the dry foods are very soft.
alwaysvegas 702 Posted April 14, 2015 It was heaven in a chicken puree! It tasted wonderful! I had been on liquids for a month and even the puree felt very solid. And the flavor was divine! And three bites later I was all full. Yay sleevie!
LSF 264 Posted April 14, 2015 Every time I eat something new- I can only get a few bites in - then I'm full but the next time I eat that same food, I'm able to eat more. It happened with puréed, regular food. And I'm 2.5 months post op
Brigiter 40 Posted April 14, 2015 Hi, Im thrilled for finding this app, I did my Lapband 3 years ago it went great! Until 4 months ago I started having horrible reflux episodes while sleeping. About 6 events per night coughing terribly and I tried everything even sleeping in a seated position. So my Lapband had to be unfilled, my esophagus was swollen and dilated and dr does not recommend filling it again, in these months with my unfilled band I have gained 18 pounds. I'm still at this moment a low BMI patient but I'm going for the sleeve on May 5th. Has anyone had this experience? How is the sleeve on low BMI patients? I would appreciate to know about someone with similar experience
