Can we start a list of favorite excercise music?

Recommended Posts

I thought I would start a thread to ask for suggestions. I originally put this in the main forum, but maybe I can double my chances of replies if I put it here, too!:)

I want to load up my Ipod with songs that are fast, upbeat, happy...for when I start excercising.

What are your favorite songs for exercising (sp)? I want to get lost in the music and just GO!

Thanks, folks! Stef

I replied on the other thread.

C&P from the other thread (mainly because I am too lazy to re type it)

I love to run to (in no order of preference)

Screaming Jets, Better

Urge Overkill (anything by them, but Sister Havana is a fave)

The White Stripes, 7 Nation Army

Anything by the RHCP

Sugar Hill Gang, Rappers Delight

Some Led Zepplin

Madonna, Hung Up

Rage Against The Machine, Killing in the name of

Pink Flyod, Another Brick in the wall

KT Tunstall, Suddenly I see

Gnarls Barkley, Crazy, and Go Go Gadget Gospel

And some Janis Joplin, Dave Dobbin, and Stone Temple Pilots to cool down to.

There is a lot more than that on my iPod, but they are a few that I love.

Holy cow, I'm old. I haven't even HEARD of a lot of those groups, Chickie. My MP3 player has mostly show tunes (Wicked, Aida, Rent). Other than that, the one song that is guaranteed to get me up and running is It's Raining Men, by the Weather Girls.

This is a GREAT idea for a thread, because us old folks really do need inspiration and I for one don't have the first clue about what's out there. The problem is I hate "dance" mixes, and almost all rap. What's good to move to?? Keep those ideas coming!!

LOL!

The Screaming Jets, Dave Dobbin and KT Tunstall are Aussie bands / singers, and bands.

The Rage, Urge Overkill and Sugar hill Gang are 80' / 90's, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are pushing 50 (Seeing Flea has finally grown up brought a tear to the eye the other day when I was watching a VH1 interview, and I think that The Sugar Hill Gang were very, very early 80's - someone correct me if I am wrong)

Gnarles Barkley, and The White Stripes I only know because I have a pre teen! Otherwise, my taste is firmly in my backside some would argue. I love my 60's, 70's, 80's and very early 90's music.

I swear I was born a decade too late.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
