Bndtoslv 292 Posted April 12, 2015 Any suggestions for an affordable blender which is easy to clean? Don't expect to use it long term because nutritionist doesn't recommend caloric liquids after first month or so!
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 12, 2015 I have a cuisinart hand blender. Unbelievably easy to use and clean, and it doesn't put air in your Protein Shakes and make them all bubbly and foamy and gross. It costs about $35 on Amazon, which isn't nothing, but also isn't a multi-hundred dollar ninja whatever. http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-75BC-2-Speed-Immersion-Blender/dp/B00ARQVM5O/
liannatx 897 Posted April 12, 2015 I already had a Magic Bullet so I didn't buy anything new, but it worked great for the thin liquids and pureed stages.

Do you use ice in shakes with yours? How does it do?
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 13, 2015 @@mykdzmom I don't use ice in my shakes. I can imagine it would probably not do well unless you were starting with soft crushed ice rather than ice cubes.
mykdzmom 387 Posted April 14, 2015 Bufflehead thanks for the reply and the idea. I think I will pick up some Sonic ice for post op. @@Bufflehead
