purpleandgold 28 Posted April 12, 2015 I am really wanting some coffee, does anyone know if I can have a cup a day?
liannatx 897 Posted April 12, 2015 I had coffee on my pre-op, as long as it doesn't include high calorie/ high carb sugars and Creamers it should be okay. Did your Dr give you a specific diet plan? coffee and all no calorie liquids were on mine. You might not be able to have it for a while post-op due to the acidity, that varies by surgeon. Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 12, 2015 Pre-op diets are as varied as the surgeons and dieticians who prescribe them. Only your team can tell you what is allowed on yours.
purpleandgold 28 Posted April 12, 2015 Here's my diet: liquid diet: * Water * juice sugar free * Jello sugar free * Yogurt (natural or flavor) * Bouillon or clear broth (chicken, meat, vegetables, miso Soup, etc it has to be clear, just the broth) * Cream Soups made with non fat milk * Popcicles * Protein shakes 2 a day ( morning and night) Also, She says I can have yogurt, but yogurt has a lot of carbs so I am a little bit confused on that. liannatx 897 Posted April 12, 2015 @purpleandgold You should ask her specifically about the coffee then. As for yogurt, the Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt has a really good calorie/protein/carb range. For example, the strawberry has 80 calories, 12g Protein, and 8 carbs.
