Indieflickers 298 Posted April 12, 2015 This may seem like a stupid question, but can all the air my CPAP pumps in to my mouth, and therefore my stomach, stretch my pouch? I've had the pressure settings adjusted a couple of times as I've lost wait but I still feel like I wake up kind of distended and very burpy. Does anyone know if that also effects the pouch? AvaFern 3,516 Posted April 12, 2015 It should not affect your pouch. The bulk of the air should be going into your lungs, since it's designed to keep your airway open and fix your sleep apnea. The little bit that goes into your stomach won't affect your pouch. People who eat too much have a hard time stretching their pouch unless they do it on a very regular basis, so air isn't going to hurt the sleeve.

joatsaint 2,814 Posted April 13, 2015 I can tell you from 1st hand experience that it won't happen. I caught the hiccups right as I was being released from the hospital, and stretched my staple line.... it hurt like Hell!!!! I was using my CPAP each night and never felt any pain while using it. With my irritated stretched staple line, I think I would have noticed the slightest pressure on my Sleeve when sleeping with the CPAP machine. I never experienced any feelings of fullness or pressure in my Sleeve. But I have woke myself up from belching and passing gas, because the CPAP was pumping me so full of air.
