I have never been a person to see a doctor on the regular. I would just go whenever I'm sick . Can I get a medical clearance letter from any pcp?

Your best bet is to ask your bariatric doc for a referral to a pcp for the clearance/letter.

I went to an urgent care clinic in my town, told the doc my situation, and he wrote the letter after my blood work came back ok. He said it would benefit me more to have the surgery than to not and be overweight.
