katiemcfaddenVSG 0 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi everyone!! Orientation went great! I got my what I call bariatric bible to go by(hehe). My surgeon seems really nice and knows his stuff! My first appt with my surgeon is on 5/5 and one of my required support group classes is on 5/14. Then I think meet with nutritionist and psych. The only thing I'm afraid of is how much weight my surgeon is going to want me to lose before getting approved for surgery..oh yeah by the way I checked with my insurance fully covers everything! Thankfully no out of pocket costs for me! I'm so excited to see and hear everyone's progress during out WLS JOURNEYS!
mlilwood 13 Posted April 26, 2015 Wow you are moving along quickly. I have to wait a little longer to get the surgeon I wanted. It gives me time to get the paperwork ready for the insurance company. Keep us posted on your progress.
Elliejoe 2 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) I'm also at Kaiser South. I did the orientation, the nutrition class, the required support class, the psych and met with the surgeon. I've lost 16.2 of the 18 I needed and so i just have to get fasting blood work and an EKG and lose the last bit and I'm good to go. Holy crap.
