likelike 63 Posted April 10, 2015 I made the decision to put off WLS for a few weeks since I'll be getting married next week. The whole process has been going great and I would of gotten my date next week however, when I told the caseworker about the wedding she said to wait a few weeks and then call her back.It sucks, but I'd rather Celebrate this special moment without the stress of surgery being around the cornor. My full attention will be on the wedding and I'm happy for that.My pants that I've been wearing are currntly wearing through. You know, the usual chaffing between the thighs, holes at the bottom of my jeans, and belt loops falling off. I'd hate to buy new pants and have to phase out of them when I do continue on with my journey. What's your advice? I hear "yoga" pants are great... but what are "yoga" pants? Where do you buy them? What's your favorite brand? etc. Thanks!
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted April 10, 2015 Yoga pants are gym pants. Lane Bryant active wear might be a good option. If you purchase the ones with compression in them, you can also use them post op.
sweetie716 270 Posted April 10, 2015 The lane bryant Livi brand of leggings and stuff are great and they have ones that are like 20-30 dollars before coupons. I love them.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted April 10, 2015 Personally, I'd tell the caseworker to suck it. Get that surgery done!!That said, if you are good with the new date, great! I would go to a consignment store and spend as little as possible. If you can make it in workout wear only, Walmart has great options at superlow prices. I find their workout clothes last the longest and at $8-$10 a pair, they can't be beat. They have full length and capri length, leggings and yoga (which is a bit looser). desertgirl_74 114 Posted April 11, 2015 I love the Lane Bryant yoga pants!! I bought 5 pair when I was home for Christmas. 3 Capri length and 2 long. They were having a 50% off sale, which made it even better. I wear them to the gym, they're kinda like compression pants. I have no problems with sweat or chaffing...you all know what I'm talking about. I'm sure I'll be wearing them on my flight home in June too, only they should be a bit looser this trip.
