Babbs 14,681 Posted April 10, 2015 Are you tracking your Protein? Calories? Drinking all your Water? Keeping your carbs low? Exercising? You gotta give us more info in order for us to help. I know you said you're on pain meds due to a car accident. Does that mean you're limited on exercising?
Teachamy 1,042 Posted April 10, 2015 I'm not a lap-band patient, so I know little about your situation. Have you been in touch with your NUT to see about caloric intake and scheduled "fills"? Did you check with the pharmacist or online to see if your pain killer can cause weight gain? Don't throw in the towel yet. It's a setback and I'm sure you are frustrated, but you can do this! GEAUX SAINTS 143 Posted April 16, 2015 You didn't say what you're eating, but try going back to basics. I did this after a 3 week stall and it worked. Eat only Protein. No veggies or fruit. Try it for a week and see if it gives you a kick start.
eileenrae 0 Posted April 27, 2015 Stress can make it hard to lose weight too. Its hard but try to trust in the process. Go over your diet make sure you have enough protien and calories. If your not eating enough you wont lose either.
scstxrn 213 Posted April 27, 2015 Pain meds - and pain - and inactivity - can absolutely stall weight loss. Constipated? It's a side effect, and I know it can add a pound or two for me. Something that I've noticed, too, is the smaller I get the slower I go. Of course, having had some health challenges the last couple of months - my diet has been much more skittles and potato chips, much less lean and green.... I consider the surgery a success right now because I've only gained four pounds in the last month. Prior to surgery, it would have been closer to 25. What do you mean you thyroid is 'ok'. What is your TSH and FT4, if you don't mind sharing? What's your cholesterol and your A1C?
