KellyJ1121 11 Posted April 9, 2015 Hello my name is Kelly, I recently had the gastric sleeve done on January 13th. I was diagnosed with poly cystic ovary syndrome back in 2006 and that is when my weight became such a struggle for me. I have lost 45 pounds so far and feel fantastic!!! I would recommend this surgery to anyone who is considering it.

Bonawanabfree 280 Posted April 9, 2015 @@KellyJ1121 I have the same affliction and it has been a struggle for years. This is the best decision I ever made too. PCOS with insulin resistance has been an uphill battle but this surgery has helped me so very much and it has only been a month.

ThinnieMinnie2B 17 Posted April 11, 2015 Good for you! I too was diagnosed with PCOS. I am 3 1/2 months post op and and down 64lbs. I just met with my OB for an annual. She was ecstatic with my weight loss. I also for the first time in YEARS had a positive ovulation test. My OB said that the PCOS had most likely taken care of itself with the weight loss. I am going on the pill until I'm one year post op to prevent pregnancy. I do not have any children yet. Talking to my OB about trying to conceive this time next year I became emotional. It's SOOO exciting. The possibilities are endless.
