Thanks! I think we all have these days, these moments when everything just seems to fall apart. Especially when we try SOOOO hard to keep it together, keep ourselves on point. When my husband comes home from work, everything kinda goes to the wind, and things (especially my plan for the day) goes out the window. I forget to do this, do that, take this, eat that, and everything is just kittiwampas. By the end of the day I'm a mess, I've forgotten to take meds, Vitamins.....and then I get upset, more from NOT being in control than anything. But it's not HIS fault, it's mine. I'm still so new to this way of living, of eating, of SURVIVING the day. I need to turn this madness around.

It is because we are so impulsive about his days off, and we never know what may interject itself into our day (he IS a cop), so we never know how the day is to go. Drives me nuts, sometimes. He has to retire in 4 years, and I'm looking forward to that! WHAT IS A NORMAL LIFE???! I so look forward to checking this site everyday, you all help ME soooo much, you have NO idea!!! Thank YOU for YOUR support!

I feel that chaos with spouse and kids. Fibromyalgia brain fog doesn't help. Thank you for supporting your husband. Not easy to have a loved one in harms way every day. Thank your husband for protecting the community. It's stressful getting used to life after surgery. We'll all get there together.

@B Autumn

And thank YOU for the thanks! It certainly isn't something he or I hear much, especially these days where cops are now the "bad" guys. He loves his work, and wouldn't do anything else, and most of the cops we know feel the same.

I also have fibro - had it for years. Doesn't help having it alongside everything else. It sure seems to me that those of us that have it, also have so many other issues, as well. And I think someday there will be a revelation as to how they are all connected. Long after I'm gone, I suppose!

But today was a good day, lots of gardening, husband home for the day, able to get the doctor's appointment for tomorrow, SUNSHINE!!!!! Need I say more?! Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow!

Being a sweet tooth queen. I just had to find healthy sweet treats to make for myself.I made froen yogurt with raisins,almonds,and trail mix. I also will add a bit of honey to sweeten it a little. My hardest times is of course when it is PMS time, ugh. It seems that it has gotten worse since this surgery and plus my age too, I believe. I was thinking about getting sf cake mix so that when my family have the real deal, I can enjoy my sf slice. I enjoyed baked apples and baked bananas with my yogurts too. The baked bananas are the bomb! You have to try it.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
