Almost 6 weeks post op. I am so tired from about noonish until 5pm. It's not that mid day tiredness. But sheer exhaustion.

I did return to work this past week and I guess I can contribute it to that?? But I'm getting plenty of sleep and all my supplements, Protein and Water. At what point do I think it's anemia or something else?

I would check with my doctor because with you getting all of your Water, Vitamins and Protein in you should be feeling a little bit better but remember that you body is still adjusting. Keep us posted on your progress.

6 weeks isn't very long. You will still be tired for a bit and eventually that will change and you will have a LOT of energy! lol. Of course, when you have your check up with your doctor/nurse it's a good idea to bring it up.

Your body is quite busy healing and losing weight. I'm almost at six months out and I still need a nap on many days. But I don't do caffeine.

Honestly I started to feel my best at around the 12 week mark. I felt very good right after surgery but I would get very tired in the afternoons. I remember clearly about the 12 week mark everything just clicking for me.

Oh I'm hoping that will happen for me. I have one cup of coffee a day and then green teA around noon/ after lunch. I thought green tea had natural caffeine and it's been helping me get thru the day. I've ordered Matcha green tea powder which I'm going to add to my smoothies as well to see if that helps too especially on my gym nights.

I'll let you guys know if it helps ????

I just hit my four month mark, and I have been exhausted for the past few days. I didn't have any issues with it until recently, so maybe my body is just catching up...I think I slept 12-14 hours both days this weekend, and could have slept even more. It's so hard to function when it hits :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
