AngelWingz 0 Posted April 6, 2015 Thank u stephanie...ur weight loss already is amazing!!!...great job!!!...ultimately my goal is just to feel better & take this pain off my joints...i have such a small frame that all this weight is doing a lot of damage...my overall health isnt too horrible...so end of day as long as i get results & relief i will be happy...i know my surgeon said he recommends sleeve due to less malnutrition issues & its a safer surgery...my PCP recommended bypass because he said the results last longer than the sleeve...i know ppl who have done both...however idk anyone past 2yrs post-surgery for the sleeve to see how well they kept the weight off
SeahawksGirl 36 Posted April 6, 2015 @@AngelWingz I wish you the best in making an informed decision. From the sleeve you can do a bypass, but not the other way around. I would seriously consider taking the more conservative approach and do the sleeve. You won't have dumping or the malabsorption that comes with the bypass. You will have amazing results with the sleeve with the stats you posted. I would listen more to your surgeon than your family. They love you, but he knows all about all of this and does it every day.
