My sister made me the best devil eggs. I am 15 days post op however when I fixed scramble eggs they were horrible. Almost every soft and puréed food I eat is horrible except cream of wheat and devil eggs. I still love cheese thank God but don't eat much don't want to be constipated ????????

I LOVE deviled eggs! They are especially yummy with bacon bits sprinkled in the yolk mixture.

Have you tried refried Beans? Hummus? Avacodos/guacamole? Split pea Soup? Greek Yogurt? Deviled ham? pureed tuna salad? Fake crab meat (Krab)? String cheese? These were some of my favorite pureed/soft food options. I also mixed unflavored Protein Powder in every soup or broth I could find....French onion, butternut squash, potato leek, tortilla soup, hot and sour, cream of mushroom, asparagus, vegetable barley, etc.

What did you mix with the fake crab?

I bought krab salad from my local deli and made a stuffed Tomato with it..... Here's a picture. I could only eat 1/4 of it per meal. If you made it yourself, I'd say add mayo, Old Bay and chives if your tummy can handle them. This is definitely for the soft food phase, not puréed.

at 15 days i was doing cream Soup, lobster bisque, mashed potatoes, guacamole, shakes, and yogurt. i advanced around wk 3, but i would think that deviled eggs would be ok as long as they are thoroughly chewed???? great Protein option too!

@@LipstickLady that sounds divine! I've looked at that Sriracha mayo a few times but I'll pick some up. I miss sushi.

Looks great!

I had a deviled egg last night (actually like 3 of them over the course of 2 hours) and it was amazing. I am technically not on soft foods till Wednesday but Easter dinner with the family killed me haha. I made sure I pulverized the eggs by chewing the crap out of them. They were amazing :-)

I feel guilty for eating it 3 days early but mentally it made the day a ton more enjoyable and I went easy and today I feel great. I gained a pound though so I guess that was my punishment lol.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
