Protien Bars

Hi Paula, I always look for the bars that have the most Protein and the least sugar. Most use sugar alcohol, which supposedly does not affect our blood sugar. There are some really good ones out there and some that are loaded with sugar. Be sure to read the labels carefully. I have tried EAS brand lemon cheesecake and Think Thin Peanut Butter and I like both of those. They are 2 - 4 impact carbs per bar and good amount of protein. There are many other goods ones, just take the time to read the label before you buy one. They are nice to have on hand in an emergency for a Meal Replacement. Take care, Theresa

Me personally I like the balance gold bars they taste very good and have 15 grams of Protein, I use them when I need a chocolate fix, they taste just like a candy bar. I do not look for low sugar ones but hi protein and great tasting ones is what I go for.

The reason I wanted to ask this is because I *thought* I was eating protien bars - but I think they were just Breakfast bars - and I found that my weight was VERY slow coming off. So I cut the bars out and lost weight.

My mom joined LA weight loss last week and she was telling me how important the "protien bars" are for losing weight. So before I dash to the store and buy more BREAKFAST bars I thought Id ask here first.
