wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) Hi all! I have about 2 weeks (or a little more) before my surgery. I have issues with tying my shoes. I have to prop my foot on the stairs to tie them. I am going to go shoe shopping today and buy some of those cute sneaker-like shoes that don't have backs, so I can just slide my feet into them for a bit after surgery. (Easy Spirit has some awesome reviews) What are your thoughts? A waste or money or a good investment (so I don't have to bend over and strain to tie my shoes)?? liannatx 897 Posted April 4, 2015 If you are a sneaker person those would be great, and a good investment. Cute flip flops are easy too after surgery, but I wear those all the time anyway .
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted April 4, 2015 Don't buy anything expensive. My feet shrank in size and width. I have at least $1000 in Danskos and other great shoes that no longer fit, some brand new. Argh!!!!

wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted April 5, 2015 I bought 2 pair. A pair of Skechers and a pair of Easy Spirits. Narrow felt best, even though my feet swell, and I've been wearing 9's for a couple of years, but 8.5 actually fit better. I got them at a good price at Off Broadway Shoes plus $10 off each pair, so I didn't spend all that much. I haven't worn any of my old shoes (heels and such) in years. I bet they'll fit nice once the weight is gone. Thanks for the input.
