Am I the only one that is still dragging? I feel fine, I'm able to keep everything down & can sleep on both sides. I just don't feel like getting dressed and getting out. Is this common or is this something I'm going to have to make myself do?

You are going to have to make yourself get up and going. Also if you are not getting enough Water it can make you feel very lethargic.

It took three weeks before I felt alive. I barely had energy to make a cup of tea. I was getting all my fluids and Protein in. So I rested as much as possible..really didn't have a choice. After the three weeks it got better. Now at 5 weeks I am probably 70% " normal." Energy level.

I hate to say it but it's good to know I'm not alone :( I'm ready to feel human again. Tomorrow my hubby is going to get me out for a mall trip lol, that should do the trick :)

The first 8 days were tough for me. I am on day 11 and finally starting to feel better, but I may have overdone it the last couple of days, so outside of dance class with my daughter I'll be resting and hydrating this weekend. Hopefully the trip out will reinvigorate your senses and energy level. Best of luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
