No Bread or Pasta Forever??

I am new to this so bear with me but I was banded on march 31,09 and was wondering if any of you had massive brusing and swelling after being banded and how long this lasts?

Everyone is different, some ppl can have breads and some can't. Soda is a huge NO NO from what i have heard from others and my doctor ( most say it hurts to much to drink, and even if it dosen't hurt it could possibly stretch out your pouch and hinder your progress). The band is just a tool, you still have to make these difficult choices the band will not make them for you. Some ppl that have the band and still make these choices (the ones who weren't ready for the commitment), and they are rarely sucessful! Good Luck...I hope this helps!

I had the same questions before surgery. I can still eat bread and Pasta with no problems, as long as I take my time and go slow. I've cut them out completely for now, but I'm glad to know I can have them in moderation down the road.
