Band07 374 Posted April 16, 2015 I'm scheduled 4/23, anyone else going to Mexico? I'll be with Dr. Rodriguez.Just had my surgery with Dr Rodrigues on April 11th in Juarez. He and his team are amazing. Only thing is that the nursing staff does not speak a lot of English so if you download a translator app on your phone it makes it a lot easier to communicate. I'm only a few days post op and feeling great. That's great ! Thanks for the advice ! Any issues going through Juarez ? Did you feel safe ?
Micdruss 213 Posted April 16, 2015 One week guys....only one week until it's our turn!!! How's everyone doing on their pre-op diet? I'm 11 lbs down after the 1st week of all liquids which helps with the non-ability to eat anything lol. Though it hasn't been too bad

It was quite the wait going across into Mexico, very busy place that boarder crossing. I did feel really safe the whole time. They even have a 24 hour security guard on the floor (I was on second floor). My husband came with me and he even went out to the mall across the street and did not feel unsafe at all. That's good to hear !! Iv been a little worried after reading how bad things were a few years ago ! It's a little overwhelming when you consider everyone worries about surgery, but add flying across the country, crossing into a foreign country in a town once known as the most dangerous city in the world and it's a little stressful !! Lol

Atix 3 Posted April 24, 2015 Hi everyone! How's everybody doing? I'm 2nd day post op and had been in SICU for close monitoring. The first 2 days I experience severe heartburn and lots of vomiting. Today I feel so much better and have been able to walk around and do some exercises. Currently in the process of being transferred to general ward right now. I pray for everyone to have a speedy recovery. Keep going strong!
